ROCKVILLE IT COMPANY “PHOENIX TS” WINS GOVERNMENT CONTRACT

Woman-owned IT company wins contract worth up to $1.4 million

Rockville, MD (November 11, 2004) — Phoenix Technology Solutions, LLC (Phoenix TS), a Rockville, MD-based information technology company, has been awarded a contract worth up to $1.4 million with the Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) to provide information technology training and related services.

The woman-owned business will deliver a wide range of Instructor Led Training courses to DISA staff located at DISA headquarters in Washington, DC; DISA Europe; DISA Pacific Field Command-Hawaii; St. Louis, MO; Denver, CO; Oklahoma City, OK; Slidell, LA; and Ft. Huachuca, AZ.

Phoenix TS will provide training to DISA staff in Microsoft Windows Administration, Oracle Database Administration, Cisco Network Devices, UNIX/Linux Security, JavaScript, and Microsoft Desktop Applications (Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint). The contract includes the base year and four option years, a value worth up to $1.4 million if all options are exercised.

Although this is the first government contract for which Phoenix TS has been awarded prime contractor status, they have been a subcontractor on contracts with many government agencies including National Institutes of Health, United States Department of Agriculture, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation. Other Phoenix TS clients include KEI Pearson, Keller Williams Realty, American Speech-Language-Hearing Association, International Commission on English in the Liturgy, and Rockville Economic Development, Inc.

Phoenix TS, a woman-owned small disadvantaged business, is a member of the Small Business Association’s 8(a) program. The company provides information technology solutions to their clients, including networking services, Web and software development, and training.
