NEW WEBSITE FOR ROCKVILLE ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT GROUP
Rockville, MD (June 30, 2004)—Rockville Economic Development,
Inc. (REDI) has launched a newly designed Web site, www.RockvilleREDI.org,
to market Rockville as a destination for new and relocating businesses
and to promote the city’s quality of life.
Formerly known as Greater Rockville Partnership, the organization
redesigned its Web site as part of a broader effort to publicize
its new name and promote REDI as a resource for people and businesses
considering a move to or expansion in Rockville.
“We are extremely excited about the new look and feel of
the Web site. The complete redesign of the site is a reflection
of the energy and excitement in Rockville today as well as our renewed
commitment to strengthening and broadening the city’s economic
base” said Daniel Hurtado, Marketing Manager for REDI.
Designed by Aspen Creative, a division of Rockville-based Aspen
Systems Corporation, the Web site includes the latest statistics
and demographic information on Rockville and Montgomery County.
Business owners and entrepreneurs will also find an overview of
tax incentive and workforce development programs available through
the State, County and City governments for new, expanding, minority-owned
and women-owned companies.
The Web site also includes a retail listing of businesses located
within the city’s central business district, an overview of
major local development projects, a summary of services provided
through REDI, as well as an overview of Rockville and the surrounding
region.
“The new Web site will support our efforts in developing
new business and stimulating economic growth for Rockville, helping
new businesses find a home and take root, and promoting and assisting
those companies that have long been established here,” said
Sally Sternbach, Executive Director for REDI.
Along with a new name and a new web address, the economic development
agency will also change its street address later this summer. The
organization, currently located at 401 N. Washington Street, will
move to its new office space at 95 Monroe Street near the Regal
Cinema.
